The official description: "A Mascot Horror Survival Multiplayer game where you must team up with fellow Toons to complete machines and descend deeper into Gardenview Center."

The core loop

  1. Pick a Toon. First-time players choose between two free Toons — Poppy or Boxten.
  2. Load out. A 45-second pre-game window lets you swap Toon and Trinkets and buy consumables with Ichor.
  3. Fill machines. Each floor generates a set of Ichor machines. Extracting from them is how you progress.
  4. Survive the Twisteds. Corrupted counterparts roam the floor with distinct attack patterns.
  5. Descend. Fill every machine and the elevator opens to the next floor. Go as deep as you can.

The Lobby

Everything between runs happens here:

  • Dandy's Store — buy new Toons and Trinkets with Ichor
  • Dyle's Store — Stickers, Skins and Roblox UGC
  • Roleplaying Mode — through a door to the left of the spawn area
  • Three elevator shafts — each holds eight players. The doors close 15 seconds after the first player enters, or you can use the Matchmaking button to be placed into a run
  • Progress boards — Mastery and Twisted Research, plus the Journal and (since v0.27.1) the Profiles system with a daily login streak

Once everyone hits Ready Up — or the 45 seconds expire — the run starts.

Floors and difficulty scaling

A floor is a procedurally generated map with machines placed across it. Difficulty scales on two axes: how many floors you've cleared and how many players are still alive.

  • A run begins with roughly 4 machines and 2 Twisteds
  • Both counts grow as you descend
  • New machine types and Twisted varieties unlock at deeper floors
  • Main Character Twisteds don't appear until at least Floor 5

Community benchmarks worth knowing: Twisteds Fear Me is awarded for completing Floor 100 and is among the rarest badges in the game.

Toons

Toons are the playable characters. Each has its own statline and, in most cases, an active ability. One tracker puts the roster at roughly 40 playable Toons as of late 2026 — treat that as approximate, since the count climbs with every content update.

Toons are bought from Dandy's Store with Ichor, and the good ones gate behind play requirements rather than currency alone. Gigi, for example, needs 45 Rare-or-higher items picked up, 50% research on her Twisted, and 2,000 Ichor spent at the store before she's purchasable.

Starter Toons

  • Poppy — fast recovery speed, which makes her the usual pick for drawing Twisteds away from the group
  • Boxten — the machine specialist; fills Ichor chambers faster, so he's the pick if you want to push floors quickly

Named Toons that appear across official changelogs and event material include Dandy, Razzle & Dazzle, Astro, Shrimpo, Rodger, Bobette, Goob, Bassie, Sprout, Gigi, Finn, Tisha, Cosmo, Flutter, Teagan, Blot, Squirm, Connie, Looey, Dyle, Shelly, Yatta, Toodles, Brusha and Vee.

Twisteds

Twisteds are the enemies — corrupted versions of the Toons, each with its own attack pattern and behaviour. Standard Twisteds chase and hunt; special variants break the pattern. Twisted Gigi, reworked in the 0.28 patch, is a good example: she ignores chases to hoover up loose items, stores them in a stash that spawns with her holding about half the floor's items, and will steal straight from your inventory during a chase. A stocked stash can be searched for a guaranteed drop after three seconds.

Researching Twisteds — encountering them and surviving — is a progression track of its own and feeds directly into Toon unlock requirements.

Trinkets

Trinkets are equippable items that modify stats or abilities, and they're where most of the build variety lives. Known examples:

  • Lucky Coin — boosts a random stat by 12% once per floor, rerolling at the start of each floor
  • Ghost Snakes In A Can and Sweet Charm — cooldown reduction, commonly paired with ability-spam Toons like Gigi

The Ichor economy

Ichor is the single currency. You earn it by clearing floors, filling machines, collecting research capsules and using your Toon's active ability; you spend it on Toons, Trinkets, Skins and pre-game consumables. There is no shortcut — which is why the one active code (ICHOR, 50 Ichor) is worth redeeming the moment you start.

Events and rotation

  • Toon of the Week — a rotating weekly spotlight. The featured Toon gets balance changes, three limited-time quests and exclusive cosmetics. Recent cycles covered Gigi (18–25 September 2026) and Brusha. Each Toon of the Week returns roughly annually.
  • Halloween Event — running 2 October to 6 November 2026.
  • Login streak — tracked in Stats and the Journal since v0.27.1.

Playing solo vs with a group

The game is designed around eight-player cooperation and doesn't really work alone, but you can join public servers without a party. Private servers are free and are strongly recommended for your first few runs — learning the machine minigames without pressure is worth far more than being carried.

Official disclaimer: the experience contains bright and flashing lights that may affect photosensitive users, and it is in Alpha, so expect bugs and shutdowns.
